Hyslop Gets First Feature Win, Clouser & Anderson Double-Up |
 Sara Hyslop Celebrates Her First Feature Victory Saturday Night (www.kdubya.com photo) by: Bill Freis Morris, IL Mario Clouser of Auburn, Illinois made it two in a row Saturday night when he won the 25-lap UMARA National midget feature, driving his E-85 Ethanol, Illinois Corn Marketing Board, Beast/Mopar midget. Sara Hyslop of Morris, Illinois recorded her first midget feature win leading every lap of the 15-lap USAC/UMARA Ford Focus midget feature in her LT 5 Trucking, Ford Focus midget. Joliet’s Mike Anderson made it a clean sweep in his Greg’s Auto Body, Suzuki powered UMARA Dwarf Car taking fast time, winning his heat race and winning the 15-lap feature for the second week in a row. |

(Phil Rider Photo) Morris, IL Mario Clouser of Auburn, Illinois became the 17th winner of the UMARA Illinois State Midget Auto Racing Championship Saturday night when he won the 40-lap UMARA/USAC Regional midget feature, driving his E-85 Ethanol, Illinois Corn Marketing Board, Beast/Mopar midget. Jordan Pennington of Mishawauka, Indiana won the 25-lap USAC/UMARA Ford Focus midget feature and Joliet’s Mike Anderson won his first ever UMARA Dwarf Car feature driving his Gregs Body Shop, Suzuki powered car past Darren Ihrke on the final lap of the 15-lap feature. |

Byrne Gets First Grundy Win, Grommes Makes It 3 In Row! |
 David Byrne (Freis Sports Images) by: Cathe Kettmann 8/9/08 Morris, Il David Byrne of Shullsburg Wisconsin won his first feature race at Grundy County Speedway Saturday night in his Bytec Inc, Tricor Insurance, Stealth, Fontanta midget. It was his third of the season, but first at the 1/3-mile Grundy track. Byrne, a regular at the speedway started on the second row outside for the feature event. It was two wide into turn one with Mario Clouser in his E-85 Ethanol, Illinois Corn Marketing Board, RTS Farms Beast/Mopar sponsored car and Tom Schnabel in the Kendall County Concrete car, battling for the number one spot with Byrne behind them. Clouser took the lead and at the completion of lap one, it was Clouser followed by Schnabel and Byrne with current points leader Jimmy Anderson and Zach Schiff rounding out the top five spots. Byrne wasted no time moving into second getting by Schnabel and Anderson by lap four. |

Schiff Wins At Illiana, Clouser Thrills Crowd With Second Place Finish |

by: Bill Freis Schererville, IN Zach Schiff of Dublin, Ohio passed USAC Regional points leader Travis Young on lap 22 and led the final nine laps to win the 30-lap Regional Midget race in his Beast/Esslinger Ford. Jeff Wimmenauer of New Whiteland, Ind. and Kyle Hamilton of Danville, Ind. captured “Open Wheel Extravaganza” feature events Wednesday night as well at Illiana Motor Speedway. |
