29th Lockard Memorial This Saturday at Grundy

The Last Stand at the Stadium auto racing event is just a week away and to get set for that, the UMARA will host its most prestigious event this Saturday at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris.
The 29th Annual Bob Lockard Memorial will kick-off the week leading up to the Last Stand event this Saturday beginning with the Mazon Speedbowl/Grundy County Speedway Hall of Fame inductions at 3pm. With the 18th Annual UMARA Illinois State Midget Auto Racing Championship and a Salute to the Troops on tap this Saturday at the Grundy County Speedway, points battles and tempers are heating up as the season winds down.
Having only three points paying events left in the UMARA season and The Last Stand at the Stadium event coming up in less than one month, excitement and irritability are building amongst some of the midget teams.
